Producer groups
Cafédirect's network of producers consists of 39 organisations in Africa, Asia and Latin America producing
tea,
coffee and cocoa. As the project is limited in its resources a priority setting process of focus regions and the
selection of specific pilote groups is managed together with the producers in a participatory way. Criteria to
select the focus regions were; the severity of climate change effects, the producers' vulnerability and their
adaptation capability. The results and experiences of the project will be available for all producer groups.
Methods and instruments to identify climatic risks and adaptation measures as well as financing mechanisms will
be accessible for all producers.
