Fairtrade

Fairtrade is about guaranteeing growers in developing countries a fair and stable price for their crops, in order to ensure that they can make a decent living. Producer organisations that supply Fairtrade products are inspected and certified by the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation (FLO). They receive a minimum price that covers the cost of sustainable production and an additional amount to be invested for social and economic development within grower organisations and/or for their local communities. This gives farmers and their families the chance to build a future without poverty.
